5x4

This is a shot of my close friend loui short. I shot this on ilford fp4 using a mpp field camera. F/5.6 at 1/250. However I used the tilt mechanism at the back of the camera to achieve the mental depth of field. This was my first experience of deveolping 5x4 negs myself and it was very interesting and almost theroputic. Sitting in pitch black in the darkroom and physically handling my negs was very time consuming, however this made me more proactive of them.

Female forms

This is a from a life model shoot within my 'body' project, i was a bit nervous shooting with a naked women being a 17 year old boy, however after about 15 minutes i found my self looking past the fact she was naked and started to appreciate and compose some images of her natural form. These were shot on a mamiya rb 67 with ilford fp4 film. I dodged and burned certain areas to pay more attention to the definition and tone of the skin.

Josh's henri lartigue

For one of my transcription projects at college i chose to transcribe jacques henri lartigues bibi photo. I was given the film by a friend not knowing the asa, expiry date, process times, or even if it was black & white or colour. I developed them as if it was hp5 and these were the results. I think the grain adds to the 1920s look.
