BEN KIDGER PORTRAIT

This is a portrait of Ben Kidger, one of the tutors at Canterbury college. It was for the college gallery magazine (PALETTE) as they were doing an interview on him. I shot this on my 35mm minolta hi matic 9 at a 1/60 at f1.7. The film of choice was ilford hp5 plus. When enlarging my filter was at 4.5 and i exposed it for about 12 seconds. When reviewing the print with the technician i didnt know whether to remove that light on the back drop by dodging, but we decided it gave the image some depth and left it. (The blacks and whites look a bit washed out on here)
